Premier accountancy firm Mazzars commissioned Serena to produce two large front-of-house paintings for their new architecturally-designed offices near London's Tower Bridge. The two large canvasses, both nine foot by six foot, were produced for the impressive building's main reception area.
Mazzars' brief was to produce two large colourful paintings that represented the international reputation of the firm and the area surrounding Tower Bridge.
Serena's response to the brief was the idea of a boat carrying passengers, one painting showing the start of the journey and the other painting showing 'the return'. The returning boat is full of riches, bright colour and success, represented by the colours and choice of items in the boat, including luxurious textiles, ceramics, flowers and animals.
