Mixed Media

Serena loves working in Three dimension alongside her paintings.

She says "I spend everyday in my studio and some days I want to paint and contemplate my work in quietness and on other days I need to be physically working hard cutting out large sheets of wood and working with heavy blocks of clay to loud music, This keeps my studio space an interesting and inspiring environment for me to work in" Serena creates layers of pattern and colour with her mixed media work, using a variety of screen-printing and monoprinting techniques. She then layers the wood together to form a background for her ceramic fishes. birds and people.
