Seagull and terns on handmade structures.
Interior and exterior ceramic and wood sculptures.
Growing up on Ferry Road near Southwold harbour, Serena has always been inspired by the seabirds that gather and perch on top of poles and railings and boat masks. Serena makes interior and exterior sculptures using her Stoneware seabirds and reclaimed timber from the boatyards.
She uses coloured slip, earthenware and stoneware glazes to create colourful patterns and bright colours for the different structures on which the seabirds rest. Available for sale from the Serena Hall Gallery, Southwold. Serena also welcomes commissions.

Handmade fish plates.
Made to hang on the wall. In groups or pairs or singles.
Serena's fish plates are made by hand in earthenware clay. She experiments with coloured slip and onglazes to get vibrant colours.
She is predominantly interested in surface pattern and enjoys the three dimensional element of creating the plates.
